The vine is an ancient plant, endowed with remarkable natural intelligence. Its rich genetic heritage enables it to defend itself against numerous fungi, bacteria, and viruses. Yet when the balance of its environment becomes fragile or disease pressure in the vineyard grows too intense, it can be overwhelmed. At the estate, we choose prevention over intervention. While conventional plant protection treatments can provide an effective response, they are often accompanied by significant drawbacks. We therefore seek approaches that are more balanced and more respectful of living ecosystems. It is in this spirit that we work with Genodics, using vibrational waves to stimulate the vine’s natural defence mechanisms.
This approach, akin to a form of dialogue with the plant, is part of a thoughtful and sensitive vision of viticulture. We use it in particular to support the vine in the face of esca and fanleaf degeneration, two diseases for which there are currently no truly effective solutions, while preserving the balance of the vineyard and the integrity of our wines.
