Clos du Mont-Olivet

In the heart of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Clos du Mont-Olivet perpetuates a story of heritage, transmission, and passion. Across the decades, the estate has been shaped by the same trinity: three brothers yesterday, three cousins today. A remarkable continuity that reflects the family spirit at the heart of the domaine. And already, a fifth generation is stepping forward, ready to write the next chapter of this enduring story.

The Joseph Sabon family

TRANSMISSION AS A LIFE MISSION

In 1932, Séraphin Sabon founded Clos du Mont-Olivet, laying the foundations for what is now a historic estate within the appellation.

A major figure in the vineyard, he was among the winemakers who contributed to the creation of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation in 1936. His son Joseph Sabon then continued this work, firmly establishing the estate as a benchmark for excellence in Rhône Valley wines.

Today, Céline, David, and Thierry Sabon embody this continuity with high standards and loyalty to the terroir. And already, the 5th generation is emerging.

Like a story that continues to unfold.

CREATING WITH THE LIVING

Our vineyard covers nearly 53 hectares in the heart of the Southern Rhône Valley, nestled between the appellations of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Lirac, Côtes-du-Rhône, IGP Gard, and Vins de France.

More than 25 grape varieties are cultivated here, showcasing the estate's rich ampelographic diversity and the variety of our terroirs.

This mosaic of soils and grape varieties gives rise to elegant, precise, and deeply rooted wines.
